Church traditions are customs that have been passed down from generation to generation. They are often seen as a way of life for many congregations. However, these traditions can also be a potential source of divisiveness. A tradition is neither inherently good nor bad. Its value or its distraction in a given church really depends on how members treat the traditions .

Christians should not be “Religious”. Being religious is all about the “Doing”. Having all the accoutrements and trappings of God but not having a true relationship with Him. Being religious can be used as a tool to control people and it becomes oppressive and holds people captive .

In conclusion, God is not looking for “Religious people”, He is wanting to have a relationship. It is important for churches to evaluate their traditions and practices to ensure that they are not causing harm or division among their members.
